I love teaching and my students, and have been fortunate enough to teach in the second, third, and fourth grades at Montecito Union School. I earned a B. A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Early Elementary Education from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo, a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis on Reading and a Reading Specialist Credential from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am a Writing Fellow and Co-Director of the South Coast Writing Project (SCWriP) at UCSB, and currently work with student teacher candidates and various school districts in building capacity and skill in the area of Literacy.
I have two active children of my own named Paige and Emma. We love to be outdoors and often find ourselves hiking, biking, swimming in Lake Tahoe, or paddle-boarding the day away. In my spare time, I also enjoy reading, gardening and spending time with friends. MUS is a special community and we can't wait to meet you and have you join our family.
